Wednesday August 2, 2006 - An updated draft conceptual plan showing a buildout of a Village Center [downtown] for Barrington was presented to the Planning Board on July 27, 2006. The plan incorporates a number of design ideas that includes retail space, senior housing, public library and other amenities associated with a downtown. WE NEED YOUR COMMENTS! Please access the plan below and submit your comments to the Barrington Planning Board by Thursday, August 17, 2006. What would you like to see in a Village Center? Now is your chance to participate in what may be the single most influential project to affect the Town of Barrington. Wednesday, April 5, 2006 - The firm of Dufresne-Henry in conjunction with RKG Associates has been working diligently on compiling data on property values, location, use and economic conditions within the Village District. An inventory of existing businessess for the entire town was created to provide an understanding of the type of business, employee base and earnings that have been successful. Coupled with the results from the interviews that were conducted in February, the firm has completed some preliminary conceptual plans for the Village Center. This information will be presented to the Planning Board at a worksession scheduled for Thursday, April 27, 2006 at 7 PM.
